From data standard to operations platform
Founded
imin was created to solve a critical gap: participation data was fragmented across dozens of booking systems with no way to cross-search. We began building the connective infrastructure.
OpenActive co-authoring
Working with Sport England and the ODI, we helped write the OpenActive standard — an open data format that became the foundation for discovery across the entire sector.
Platform API launch
We released our search and booking APIs, allowing anyone to build on our participation data. Thousands of venues went online and discoverable.
Timetable for operators
After years of data collection, we launched Timetable — a free, cloud-based timetabling tool for leisure operators, powering 20+ venues across the UK.
Smart Timetable
Our most ambitious release yet. Smart Timetable turns 11 years of participation data into real-time occupancy forecasting, retention insights, and instructor performance visibility.

OpenActive
imin co-authored the OpenActive data standard with Sport England, the ODI, and dozens of industry partners. It's now used by thousands of leisure providers across the UK.
OpenActive is the connective tissue of the participation sector. It enables venues to publish their activities in a common language, so participants and booking platforms can find and integrate them seamlessly.
