imin reaches finals of Mayor of London’s Civic Innovation Challenge

We're pleased to announce that imin has reached the finals of the very first Mayor of London’s Civic Innovation Challenge.

The Civic Innovation Challenge, coordinated by existing imin investors, Bethnal Green Ventures, calls on tech startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop innovative solutions to London’s biggest challenges. It focuses on three major issues facing London: Ageing Population, Climate Change and Inequality.

"As one of the world’s leading technology hubs, we need to be bold and think big, to experiment and try things out that have not been done elsewhere. I see London’s future as a global ‘test-bed city’ for civic innovation, where the best ideas are developed, amplified and scaled." Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

Theo Blackwell, London’s first Chief Digital Officer, announced the finalists - you can read his blog about the Challenge here. If imin is successful in the final, we will be working with the London Borough of Ealing, piloting solutions to help specific demographics to be more physically active.

Update: imin narrowly missed out in the final. Congratulations to Elemental, who we look forward to collaborating with in the near future!
